Day 5: Meet the Microsoft Accessibility Checker
Explore the features of the Microsoft Accessibility Checker on a document you are working on.
The Microsoft Accessibility Checker is a free tool within the Microsoft Suite. It finds accessibility issues such as missing alt text and offers corresponding accessibility solutions. Throughout the 21 Day Challenge, we will highlight how to improve accessibility with Microsoft products, but other companies also offer accessibility plug-ins to use with office suites.
To use the Microsoft Accessibility Checker:
- Navigate to the “Review” ribbon at the top of the document.
- Select the “Check Accessibility” button.
- Review the accessibility issues.
- Follow the prompts to fix the accessibility issues.
